By using Hearth, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. These terms govern your use of the Hearth app and related services.
By creating an account or using the Hearth application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Hearth is an AI-powered household operating system that helps you manage documents, bills, grocery planning, home maintenance, family health tracking, and smart home devices. The Service is currently in private beta and features may change.
You agree not to:
Important: Hearth's health features — including symptom triage and medication tracking — are for informational purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. Do not rely on Hearth in a medical emergency — call your local emergency services.
If you connect Home Assistant or other smart home systems to Hearth, you do so at your own risk. Hearth is not responsible for any actions taken by or on your smart home devices as a result of using the Service. Device commands executed through Hearth are subject to the same terms as your underlying smart home platform.
Hearth uses AI to extract information from documents, generate household recommendations, and power the Chief of Staff assistant. AI outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated information before acting on it. Hearth does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Hearth — your documents, bills, health records, and household data. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim any other rights over your content.
Hearth is currently in private beta. This means:
Hearth is currently free to use during the beta period. When paid tiers are introduced, we will notify you in advance. You will always have the option to remain on the free tier.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hearth and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any harm resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which may be $0 during beta).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hearth and its founder from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction agreed upon by both parties in writing.
