Hearth is built to serve your household — not to profit from your data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, ever. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Hearth service:
We do not collect your location, contacts, microphone audio, or any data not directly related to your household management.
We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. When your data is processed by AI (document extraction, Chief of Staff responses), it is sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and NVIDIA) under their enterprise data processing agreements, which prohibit using your data for model training.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with row-level security policies ensuring only your household can access your data. Credentials are stored using expo-secure-store, which uses hardware-backed encryption on your device.
Hearth is built by a CISM-certified, ISO 27001-aligned engineer. Security is not a feature we added — it is foundational to the architecture.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all household data — documents, bills, health records, smart home history, and analytics events — is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Hearth is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Hearth is operated from Nigeria and serves users globally. Your data may be processed in the United States (where our cloud providers operate). By using Hearth, you consent to this transfer. We ensure all transfers are made with appropriate safeguards in place.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of Hearth after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
